Cataract

Cataract is the opacification of lens due to natural ageing process. It is one of the most common cause of preventable blindness in old individuals. In cataract surgery the normal lens is removed and replaced with a artificial lens to restore your clear vision.

Previously cataract surgery demands a large incision with suture which leads to slow visual recovery . We perform Phaco emulsification being a sutureless technique and brings down the incision size to 2.8mm leading to immediate visual recovery. The surgery is done under Topical Anasthesia without any local injections.

We are equipped with specialty microscopes and well-experienced surgeons to provide the best eye care to patients, along with Zeiss IOL Master for accurate intraocular lens power calculation, as well as Specular Microscopy and corneal Topography to determine appropriate surgical options.

Different types of IOL’S

Different type of IOL’S have been used in our hospital for correcting near and far vision and Astigmatism.
  • Monofocal Lens (Rigid and foldable for correcting distant vision)
  • Toric Lens (for correcting Astigmatism)
  • Multifocal IOL’S (for correcting both distant and near vision )
  • Other premium IOL’S are also available for the patient to choose.
We perform around 400 cataract surgeries per month and this procedure has success rate of 98% . We also perform secondary IOL’S like Iris claw lens and Scleral Fixation lens.
